Sharing the practice of mindfulness for all

At The Engaged Mindfulness Initiative Ltd, we help people take charge of their mental wellbeing through mindfulness. We work with private groups, organisations, and communities in London. Your financial support helps sustain this work, keeping mindfulness accessible to those who need it most.

A kinder world

The Engaged Mindfulness Initiative harnesses the power of mindfulness to build awareness, resilience, and compassion. We offer accessible training to those who need it most, helping people navigate life with clarity and care, and contribute to a kinder, more connected world.

Welcome

The Engaged Mindfulness Initiative Ltd is a community-based non-profit offering accessible, trauma-sensitive mindfulness programmes that support mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. We exist to support individuals while also contributing to more compassionate, connected and resilient communities, recognising that how we relate to ourselves shapes how we relate to others.

Our work focuses on reducing health inequalities by providing evidence-based mindfulness training in trusted community settings, reaching those who may not otherwise access support. Our approach is grounded in compassion, emotional regulation, embodied awareness, and an understanding of how the mind and nervous system shape our capacity to meet life with steadiness and care.

Through workshops, resilience sessions and foundational mindfulness and self-compassion courses, we support people navigating stress, anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, low mood, social isolation and life’s uncertainties, offering early, preventative support that strengthens both individual wellbeing and the communities we are part of.

Navine Chhuon

Navine is a mindfulness teacher whose work brings together trauma-sensitive mindfulness, compassion-based practices, and contemporary neuroscience. Her path began with yoga in 2008, which opened the door to meditation, inner inquiry, and a deep personal commitment to resilience and wellbeing.

She is a certified mindfulness facilitator with the Engaged Mindfulness Institute, where she trained with pioneers in mindfulness, neuroscience, and compassion—teachers who have introduced mindfulness into some of the most challenging environments, including the armed forces and prisons. She is also a certified Mindful Self-Compassion teacher. Alongside her formal training, Navine has continued to deepen her understanding of how the mind and nervous system shape our capacity to meet life with steadiness and care.

Navine has taught mindfulness across diverse London communities and organisations, working in partnership with local councils and the NHS, as well as with probation services, non-profits, law firms, and entrepreneurs navigating high-pressure environments. Her teaching is known for being grounded, inclusive, and practical, offering people tools they can genuinely integrate into their lives.

Through workshops, programmes, and one-to-one mentoring, Navine supports individuals and groups to strengthen resilience, improve wellbeing, and create more intentional and meaningful life outcomes. She welcomes those seeking a compassionate, evidence-informed approach to mindfulness and would be glad to explore how her work might support you, your organisation, or your community.
